Teaching Pastor
Dan Roukema
Dan and and his wife, Andrea have three boys, and two dogs. In 2004, Dan completed his Masters at Regent College - a seminary on the UBC campus in Vancouver, BC.
Dan’s spiritual journey during these years began in a home that taught him Jesus is Lord of all creation, and will redeem all things. This foundation prepared Dan well for the journey ahead, which would include doubt, apathy, searching, and experiencing the hardships of life where everything is “not as its supposed to be”.
Dan loves the church and believes it exists for the purpose of participating in Christ’s mission of redeeming all creation. His greatest hope - for himself, for the church and for the world - is to be wide awake to what Christ has done, and is doing. And that this wideawakeness would elicit thankfulness, service, joy and a welcomed embrace of our Creator.

Worship Arts Director
Joy Robinson
Originally from the beautiful island of Newfoundland, Joy has now called Calgary home since 2011. In 2014 she received her Diploma in Theatre Arts and the following year a BA in Leadership Development and has since been working in full time worship ministry as well as pursuing her passions in creative arts. She is a singer/songwriter, actor, and sound designer for theatre and is passionate about sharing stories that provide hope, healing, and encouragement.
Joy is thrilled to serve the community at Emmanuel CRC as the Worship Arts Director and her desire is that every person would be moved to worship God not only through music and creative arts but through their very lives as they offer them as a living sacrifice to our living God.
